An incubation cell of Ganesar college of Arts and Science is a dedicated center that supports and encourages students, faculty members, and alumni to bring up their innovative ideas and turn them into successful startups. It provides an ecosystem for nurturing entrepreneurial skills. The incubation cell has a team of experienced professionals who help the entrepreneurs in various areas like product development, marketing, fundraising, networking etc.

This cell organizes workshops, seminars, and mentoring sessions to guide the entrepreneurs and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge. It provides a physical space for the entrepreneurs to work and collaborate. This space is usually equipped with modern facilities like high-speed internet, office equipment, meeting rooms, and other amenities that help in the smooth functioning of the startup.

Incubation Cell is one of the most unique deep – tech start – up hub of Ganesar College of Arts and Science . It coordinates and leverages the synergies of various strands of excellence driving innovation, training and entrepreneurship at the College, which consists of cutting-edge research and industrial interactions. Ganesar College of Arts and Science supports students, faculty, staff, alumni members and external entrepreneurs in creating successful deep tech start-ups, disrupting industries and translating benefits to the society at large.

The Incubation Cell nurtures technology ventures through their start-up phase by providing all the support necessary to help entrepreneurs establish themselves before they scale up their ventures. Under the Leadership of Principal Dr.SV. Sornam the Incubation Cell is recognized by Bharathidasan University, under Innovation, Incubation and Linkages. Forging the nature of entrepreneurship and motivation the students to become self-employed has been one of the most prominent feature of Incubation cell.

 

FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist the incubates in creating a sustainable, scalable & profitable business model.
  • Provide physical infrastructure and value-added support services.
  • Create a strong network of mentors who would provide sector specific knowledge & real world practical guidance
  • Conduct events and inspirational programs and provide trainings and mentorship to entrepreneurs.
  • Forge partnerships and networks with academia, industry, funding sources, existing incubators and others for the start-ups to leverage.
  • Enable access to prototyping facilities, test beds, markets, and pilot implementation for the product/services.
  • Build a strong team with adequate knowledge and experience in guiding start-ups, building business plans, facilitating investments, building networks etc.
  • An ideal application would be a collaboration between a corporate sector entity and a research oriented / academic institution with aligned areas of focus.
